This heavy duty professional ball socket head is constructed of aluminum alloy and has calibrated tension control to balance the camera weight for smooth movement. The head rotates 360 degrees horizontally and 90 degrees vertically, allowing for unlimited viewing positions. It also features two seperate locking knobs in the head for independent panning and tilting. Also included is a quick release camera mounting platform with seperate plate lock adjustment, and rubber padding to prevent any sliding of the camera. The quick release camera mounting platform also allows for quick on and off camera mounting to the tripod.

A quick tip from the professionals: when using multiple cameras, have a quick release mounting platform for each camera you own. When using your tripod this makes it simple to switch cameras without having to detach and reattach the mounting plate to your other camera.
